Another sunny day...

I’m Celia, and despite what it says up there, it’s actually not raining in London at all today. In fact it’s a beautiful spring day, cloudless and (almost) warm.

I just got back from the South Bank, and I was walking next to the Thames wondering what on earth I’m doing, leaving this cool, gorgeous city filled with my friends, to move to a country, let alone city, where I know no-one at all.

The answer is, partly, that I’m off for a fresh start. I’ve been through quite a lot of change in the last few months, and the shape of my life here is now completely different to how it was four months ago.

I’ve been offered an amazing opportunity, and even though I’m terrified, I’m pretty determined to take it.

The aim of this blog is to help me document my year on the west coast  - I’m pretty certain there are going to be some serious lows and I’m hoping there’ll be a few highlights as well. I’m also hoping to charm the socks off the good folk of LA with my pasty skin and cute British accent…

My leaving date hasn’t been set yet, and I’ve got a lot of things to work out before I head off. But I’m praying for a few more sunny days like this one, on either side of the Atlantic.
